Waiting Here is a contemporary worship band from Kansas City, Missouri. The band consists of lead singer Daniel Hopkins, bass player Brian Barber, keyboard player David Frees, with Mike McDuff on Drums , and Chris Hopkins On Lead Guitar.
Waiting Here was formed after the three founding members led worship on a mission trip to New Orleans. The heart and vision of Waiting Here is to lead people closer to God through song and deed. “Worship is more than just singing words on a page,” says lead singer Daniel Hopkins. “Worship is living and walking out those words every single day.”
The band’s name came as a suggestion from Daniel’s wife from the Bible verse Isaiah 40:31 “Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”
Waiting Here has currently released two four song EP's and is working on a full length album.
