The Rhythm Dawgs are a band made up of four guys from completely different corners of the musical universe. Take a blues influenced bass player, team him up with a country-rock drummer. Add a GIT educated lead guitarist, and throw in another guitar player who grew up on a steady diet of AC/DC and Grand Funk. Who could have known that what would come out would be a crowd-pleasing entertainment package that mixes traditional blues, classic rock, a little country, and some primetime TV for good measure.

Since the early days of the band, the Dawgs have never been satisfied with just standing up in front of people and making noise. Every performance is approached as an event. The band believes that if people are going to make the effort to come see them, then they had better be more than just a juke box. The show has to look right, sound right, and involve the crowd. The Dawgs deliver on all three points.

Now in their 12th year of performing together, The Rhythm Dawgs have envolved into a tight performance machine that will win over a crowd and hold on to them. Whether the band is reworking a classic, stretching out with a blues jam, or giving the audience a taste of their original material, the Dawgs will make the audience part of the performance.

In January of 2007, after many requests from their fans, the band returned to the studio to record their third CD, Cover Your Tracks. These are some of the most requested songs at their shows, and was recorded live in one marathon session. This time the band puts their stamp on material from CCR, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and others.

The band’s second CD from 2004, New Tricks, continues to sell well around the world. On this album, the Dawgs collaborated on vocal arrangements with Austin master vocalist and recording artist Malford Milligan (best known for his work with Storyville and most recently with Double Trouble). The CD features 6 songs penned by the band and an original arrangement of a classic BB King tune. The album is available online (http://www.CDBaby.com/rhythmdawgs) and can be downloaded from iTunes.

If you're looking for a slick, upscale, production...then this isn't the band for you. But if you're in the market for an entertaining band made up of four regular guys who just happen to be some extraordinary musicians that know how to hold a crowd, then call out the Dawgs.
